Jordan Olive Oil is a family owned business that has been handed down through generations. It began with german founders Doris & Thomas Kerner, who moved to the Greek island Lesbos in 1989 and purchased their first properties together with their children, Heidi and Rolf Jordan. Today Bastian Jordan leads Jordan Olive Oil, in its third generation.
The olives used for Jordan Olive Oil originate and are cultivated from the family owned olive groves and from their neighboring families of the lush mountainous area of Plomari. Kolovi and Adramitiani are the two types of olives used to produce the olive oil and grown solely on Lesbos.
The olive mill extracts the olive oil using only state-of-the-art machines and in accordance with the regulations of the European Union. The olives are extracted ( colloquially: cold-pressed ) and processed naturally, preserving their distinct flavor and subtle aroma. The Olive Press is operated by our exclusive partner Kosta Protoulis and his family.
Characteristics of a natural and high quality production process include naturally occurring turbidity and sediments. In this way, it is ensured that the valuable antioxidants and rich taste is maintained in the olive oil.
Our philosophy is simple: fair partnership with all our business partners and to produce one of the world’s best olive oils for a reasonable price.
